The Cosgrove Players performed Harry Potter and the Philosophers tone on Thursday 4 March to a packed audience at Hutchisons School. The performance was directed by drama artist and teacher, Clare Hume with set dressing and props provided by The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and ShowDowns and Scottish Opera for the costumes.
Clare Hume has transformed the Drama Group into the Cosgrove Theatre Players which has meant that performers given a better opportunity to explore their performance potential and have greater opportunity to share their work with friends and family and the wider community.
The creative output of the individuals at Cosgrove Theatre Group, as evidenced in their past performances has been both impressive and entertaining.
The Cosgrove Players work hard on their craft and this production is certainly no exception. The performance was attended by families, friends and Kirsten Oswald, Local MSP and Co Chair, Donny Lyons.
An incredible team of staff and volunteers supported the event, special thanks to Sharon Kaye, Pinky Monaghan, Angie Buskie, Lauren Jarvis, Liz Grant who raised over £700 on the night from selling programme, our raffle and snacks.
We are very grateful for funding support from Creative Scotland and Youthlink Scotland.
