Cosgrove Care Coffee Hub, a wellbeing group established and ran by volunteer, Andrea Fox celebrated Chanukah in style at Glasgow Maccabi recently.
The celebration also provided an opportunity for Cosgrove Care Chief Executive to thank Andrea for the incredible work that she has done is establishing the hub and present her with flowers as token of appreciation on behalf of Cosgrove Care
Cosgrove Coffee Hub meets every two weeks and connects people within the Jewish Community, creating friendships, focusing on wellbeing and providing a range of activities to keep people active and well.
Andrea Fox has developed the Hub over the past two years and works closely with Cosgrove Care to make a real difference in the lives of older people in the community.
Heather Gray, Chief Executive says, ‘The work Andrea has done over the past two years has been exceptional, we now have over 20 people attending and Andrea has ambitions to do more. She has broken down barriers and created a strong and important lifeline for older people within the Community.’
Dr Donny Lyons, Co-Chair of Cosgrove Care and Rabbi Ruben have been among the guests coming along to sessions. Brian Fox supports the Coffee Hub weekly, driving transport and assisting with the co-ordination of the actvities. Transport is also provided by Jeffrey Citron, helping break down the barriers to attendance.
Those attending speak very positively about the impact coming to the group has had on their lives, building confidence post covid and creating purpose and friendships.
Cosgrove Care with Andrea Fox hope to see the Cosgrove Coffee Hub go from strength to strength in 2024. The group meets every two weeks for two hours. Transport can be arranged. For more information, please contact care@cosgrovecare.org.uk and Andrea will contact you.
